My name is Pavel and I'm a student at I have recently graduated from University of Montreal, nursing faculty.
I started using a camera when I got a sony point-and-shoot for my birthday. Two and a half years and about 2500 pictures later I decided I needed an upgrade. I was hesitant whether to go with dSLR or no and ended up choosing the Canon Rebel XT, which I do not regret a bit.
Most of the pictures are taken here, in Montreal, but when I travel I post my favourites as well.
I try to post at least a picture a week, sometimes more, sometimes less.
A glimpse at life was created in mid-2004 and has been moving free hosting companies ever since. The constant loss of data and links to the old domain (subdomains, actually) made me sad, very sad. I then purchased glimpseatlife.ca to make sure everybody could find my site a year from now, even if the hosting died.
For about a year I have been able to have the hosting absolutely free, until one day it just disappeared along with all my files. This forced me to move to a paid hosting company, now assuring a somewhat complete stability for my website...
You can read a little more about how it happened here.
I have finally moved to pixelpost’s latest version, i.e. v1.5 1.6 (whoo-hoo!). Nonetheless, multiple modifications were ported from my old 1.4 version. The design guideline is simplicity. It goes without saying that it applies to navigation: click LEFT half of a picture to go to PREVIOUS, and click RIGHT half for NEXT picture. For the especially lazy of you, I have added key navigation: PREVIOUS is the LEFT ARROW KEY, NEXT is RIGHT ARROW KEY. Sorry for the caps, just making myself clear.
