I went to St-Helene island later on in the day. There was a lot of beautiful sights with a few city views that I will post later. There were, as well, bugs. Lots of them. So many actually, that when I looked at the darkening sky lit up by a street light, the beam was not uniform but patchy, to say the least. Thank God I had a hood, as they were landing on my head with a dumb perseverance of a simple organism.

Explanation by my personal bug expert:

First of all, they are not mosquitoes, if those were mosquitoes, I’d be running away from here. Those are moths. They are flying to the water to lay eggs. Yes, inside the water. Why the are landing on your head? Simply because they confuse it with the water surface. How can they?! They use uv to detect surfaces, therefore, a brighter surface might attract them more.
